Floral patterns

Every year in spring there is always some type of floral motifs emergence and this spring is not the exclusion. This season it’s about vigorous flowers with a little vintage feel. This spring bomber jackets replace last season’s motorcycle jackets. A lot of designers like Tracy Reese, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Tracy Reese use different lux fabrics such as mesh, silk, tulle and neoprene for their bombers. If you want to look trendy choose lightweight or embellished bombers. You can combine them with jeans or a skirt and heels at night.

Crop tops

This season various crop tops are sticking around. Jill Stuart, Rag & Bone, Monique Lhuillier, BCBG have used them in their collections. Crop tops can be paired with high-waist trousers or skirts. If you are afraid of such extraordinary clothes try to look for a loose-fitting slightly cropped tops, they look very stylish when it styled in a correct way.

Fringed patterns

On spring runways many designers like Phillip Lim, Herve Leger, Tib add fringed elements to their garments. They are used in almost everything – chunky sweaters, spring dresses, skirts and cotton tops. Don’t forget about trendy Western Style.

Midi Skirts

This spring full skirts are very popular. Such designers as Emelia Wickstead, Delpozo, Ports 1961 and Prada used pencil silhouette for midi skirts. How to wear this part of clothes not to look too retro? Pair it with leather jackets, crop tops and a pair of high heels.

Sheer clothes

Certainly we know that too much sheer anything isn’t stylish at all (if you’re not a pop star like Madonna or Miley). But this season the designers like Erdem, J. Mendel, Blumarine and others refute this statement. They say that showing a bit of your skin can be very beautiful and stylish when it is done in a right way. You can use see-through stripes and patterns in T-shirts, blouses and even skirts with hot pants underneath.

Fashion designers like Ashish, Jeremy Scott, Alexander Wang, Sister by Sibling, Kenzo and many others have shown logo-heavy apparel down the runway. If you want to be a fashion chick this spring look for a logo-decorated apparel. Different slogans can be used on tops, sweatshirts, tanks or even on pants. But be careful, because one logo is ok but head-to-toe logos are ridiculous.

Slip dresses

There are very many dresses with simple silhouette. They are in different colours and lenths. Such designers as Max Mara and DKNY have shown silk red or nude dresses for nighttime, Isabel Marant have created a short black slip dress combined with flat sandals. So, you can choose what you want – daytime dress with flat shoes or silky nighttime sexy dress with marvelous heels.

Fiesta-friendly trend

In spring Mexico-friendly fashion is very trendy. Lots of designers like Rebecca Minkoff, Christian Siriano, Naeem Khan, Cynthia Rowley, J.Crew, Delpozo are inspired with Frida Kahlo. This style is featured with colourful embroidery, off-the-shoulder pieces of clothes, tees or sweatshirts with logos depicting Mexico.

Modern Tennis sweaters

Down the Spring 2014 runways a lot of designers walked modern versions of tennis sweaters. Karen Walker, Rag & Bone, Band of Outsiders have showed the V-neck style which was very popular in in the 1950s and 1960s. Such sweaters can be combined with short skirts and masculine shirts.


This spring eye-catching beading, luxurious stones and adorned fabrics are very popular. Almost all the designers have shown dazzling dresses down the runways. Dolce and Gabbana, Vera Wang, Bottega Veneta have presented their embellished garments. How can you use this trend in everyday life? You can put on a dress or a top with a little sparkle at the collar, blouse or dress with sequins.
