Fashion Week in Paris

Fashion world has had great weeks of fashion shows, high heels and huge amount of beautiful and gorgeous clothes in Paris. Parisian designers has offered wonderful outfits, mixing wow-ability with wearability, and creating new fashion trends. Besides, this Fashion Week in Paris will be remembered for things, which are rather unusual but very interesting. Let’s see the most remarkable runways through Paris Fashion Week.

Advanced but not very young models at Lanvin show

Watching young models on the runway shows women can feel themselves a little old because every year models, which take part in the catwalks, become younger. Albert Elbaz has decided to let the older supermodels like Amber Valletta (40) and Kirsten Owen (43) led the runway show. They looked gorgeous and all the outfits fitted them perfect. We hope there is a tendency of inviting models of different age to show fashion collections.

Supermodels look good in everything they wear because of the hard work to keep their bodies fit.

Historical fashion at Dior

Next season there will be the mixture of old and new fashion styles at Dior. Raf Simons has created an amazing collection with frock coats and pannier skirts, which are made of modern materials but has a 18th century vibe. There is a mash-up of two different times. It seems that he knows the way of merging the present and the past. You can see chic suiting and bright colours together with Victorian boots, pannier-style silhouettes and modest necklines. Tailcoats, which are rare guests on the runways, have been made in bright yellow and pink colours and worn with shorts.

Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel’s creative director, has offered his provocative show on the runways in Paris. He always brings artistic drama to his runway shows. And this time his show has made headlines worldwide. During the finale of the Chanel show there was a girl power game. All the models, including Gisele Bundchen and Cara Delevingne walked in the Parisian street holding banners like “Free Freedom”, “Fashion not War”, “Be different” and shouting feminist statements through the megaphone. It was a runway demonstration to attract attention to the world situation and to different campaigns.

An amazing journey to Italy on the Valentino’s show

Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri have created a wonderful collection, which has been inspired by Italian traditions. You could see suede jackets and delicate dresses. Candy colours and various patterns make the outfits look modern and fresh. Sheer prints and embroidered details create the feeling of old Italy. The whole collection takes us on the journey through Italy of the 18th century but with the elements of the present times.
