Menswear fashion weeks for spring and summer 2016 have come to their finish line moving to Paris. Fashion designers have shown their new interesting collections which tended for easy dressing. The silhouettes were predominantly slouched and relaxed, the waist was cinched in different ways. How to involve new trends into the everyday wardrobe and which of the designers give their own tips? Let’s see the most interesting menswear shows and know the trends, which will be on top next season.
On the runway show in Paris Hermes has presented a fresh and sophisticated collection which has been also very comfortable and unique. Veronique Nichanian, a designer of the brand, always creates clothes which exist by themselves. This time the brand has proposed a conceptual fabric – a thin goatskin imprinted with delicate silk twill, which works perfect with T-shirts or sweatpants. Nichanian offers subtle changes in the menswear wardrobe – all the pieces can easily play with each others. Summer jackets come with elastic belts to cinch the waist and to make the fabric closer to the body. There are lots of reversible jackets and horizontally-ribbed sweaters. Fashionistas will love interesting combinations in this collection such as a hooded red tomato sweatshirt being made of water snake and suede pants of vibrant green. Almost all the pieces the designer pairs with sandals.
The scene of the catwalk for Dior Homme spring and summer 2016 collection was decorated in white roses. The scents of spring were in the air. Kris Van Assche, a creative director of Dior, has made a collection with a utilitarian edge. He was inspired by the military uniforms. Suits and slim pants came with various zips, baggy cargo pants were made of fine materials. Camouflage print was a strong feature of many clothes. It was applied almost to all the pieces – as a lining print in the blazers and parkas, in double-breasted jackets and pants, as a military element of the accessories. Traditional hunting checks and Argyll knits were the part of Dior sportswear line.
Olivier Rousteing, a fashion designer of Balmain, has made safari theme the main style of the spring and summer collection. If you want to look like an adventurer, pay attention to these pieces and be inspired. The colours vary from beige to dark brown and all ones in-between. Balmain’s man is the adventurer who discovers the world and try to find incredible treasures. All the clothes in the collection are very fresh and youthful. Toggles, pockets and trims are carefully embellished. Combat leather pants have been upgraded to the next level and all other pieces look desirable and stylish. The asymmetry on jackets and vests is the main feature of the collection, which reminds us about Balmain’s style. What about the accessories? Cross-body bags and open sandals are inspired by the films about Indiana Jones.
Riccardo Tisci continues creating shocking collections. This time the designer has described his menswear collection for spring and summer 2015-2016 as “bad boys” and dressed models in robust workwear and prison stripes. Jesus and Christianity were Riccardo Tisci’s biggest inspiration. Jesus was depicted across sweatshirts, T-shirts, jeans and overalls. The colours of the collection vary from white and light blue to black. They remind about the dark side of the humanity and say that everybody can change his life. A key on the chain is one of the main accessories of the collection.
